Anna Maria Island Beaches

The great thing is that the beaches are close to each other, so you can visit them all. Both beaches have all the amenities
you might need, including restrooms, playgrounds, water sports, picnic areas, and the many restaurants in the area. Manatee
Public Beach, 4000 State Road 64 and Gulf Drive, Holmes Beach, offering on-site food and drink, picnic tables, and beach
equipment rentals.

There is a small playground and picnic tables near Rod and Reel Pier on the east side of the island. There is a small pier
near Cortez Beach where fishermen are often seen. There is a car park on the beach, open from 7:00 to 22:00.

Cortez Beach is kept clean, almost never crowded, with fine clean sand and crystal clear water. Coquina Beach is a good
parking spot for walking around Bean Point, a great place to watch the sunset. It has a playground and some shade, but it’s a
bay beach on an island, not in a bay, and it lacks the wide, clean white sand of these gorgeous bay beaches.

At Cortez Beach, warm water with a turquoise glow flows over beautiful fine white sand. On its pristine beaches, incredible
white sand meets warm turquoise waters. Known as one of the most beautiful beaches in Florida, this pristine beach has soft
white sand and crystal clear waters.

The Beautiful Gulf of Mexico and Anna Maria

Anna Maria Island spans seven miles of sparsely populated sugar-sand beaches in the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
From Bradenton, you’ll cross the Cortez Bridge on Anna Maria Island to admire its beautiful white sand beaches and Caribbean
waters. Once the best-kept secret among Florida residents, Anna Maria Island has long been known for its sugar-colored
coastline, emerald green and blue bay waters, and quirky business district. Some of the best things to do on Anna Maria
Island include enjoying sparkling sunsets, enjoying the cleanest, whitest sand in the world, eating delicious grouper toe
tacos on the sand, and flying over the water.

Anna Maria Island Attractions

The Anna Maria Island Inn is the perfect base for visiting all of Orlando’s world-famous attractions, including Walt Disney
World, which is just a 2-hour drive away, or Tampa, including Busch Gardens, and more, just 1 mile from the stunning Skyway
Bridge. can be reached within hours. My favorite place on Anna Maria Island is Bean Point, a beach on the north side of the
island where you can stroll along the edge of the island and admire the sunny viaduct over Tampa Bay and the wild Egmont Key
State Park and National Wildlife Refuge. Only accessible by boat at the Tampa Bay Inlet at the northern end of Tampa Bay. Not
to be confused with Beer Can Island near Apollo Beach in Sarasota Bay. This beach is located on Longboat Key in southern Anna
Maria Island, near the Longboat Key bridge. Coquina Beach is located north of Sarasota Bay on Bay Drive in the Anna Maria
Islands and offers everything from nature hikes to dolphin watching.

Cortez Beach and Coquina Beach, located at the south end of Gulf Drive in Bradenton Beach Bradenton Beach. You can find the
city’s Bradenton Beach Pier at the northern end of Sarasota Bay. Bradenton Beach Pier is a charming Old Florida-style pier,
part of which has formed a kind of bridge connecting the island to the mainland. Directly across the bridge, on the Anna
Maria Strait, is One Particular Harbor, a residential community in Margaritaville Margaritaville.

Leffis Key is a great place for you and your family to learn about the island’s history. Lifeguards are on duty at Bradenton
Beach to watch over you and your loved ones as you swim in the warm waters of the Persian Gulf. The beach is also an
important nesting ground for cephalopods; Anna Maria takes the protection of these turtles very seriously. You probably don’t
want little kids at the beach when the sun is strong.

The People of Anna Maria Island

With almost no people here, Beer Can Island Beach can feel like your own private beach. The main public beaches (coquina,
manatee and bay park) have ample free parking. You can also take the free island tram to one of the hotspots leading to this
dreamy beach.

Throughout the year, on different days depending on the season, you can shop at the Beach Market in Coquina Beach. Between
meals, we were able to visit several beaches, the city’s Anna Maria Pier (where you can see manatees and dolphins) and look
into some good shops. Recommended places to watch great sunsets on Anna Maria Island include Manatee Public Beach at the
entrance to 65th Street (directly across from the entrance to Anna Maria Island’s main bridge), but any beach will do.
